Following their LA album launch at Sonos Studio with Sirius XM (LA Weekly photos HERE) today legendary trio The Glitch Mob (Ed Ma “edIT”, Joshua Mayer “Ooah” and Justin Boreta “Boreta”) released their long-awaited sophomore album Love Death Immortality on their own Glass Air Records. The new LP creates the ideal follow-up to their 2010 debut full-length album Drink The Sea that amassed record sales of over 80,000 and counting - despite the fame and expectations built up for this release,The Glitch Mob manages to “go harder…yet remain totally D.I.Y.” (Billboard).

The signature instrumental motif of Love Death Immortality ultimately proves to be what Ma calls the “glory lead”: bold, screaming synth lines that generate infectious hooks straightaway. The decidedly masculine production is beautifully balanced by the album’s all-female vocal features, including the eerie tones of Bay Area avant-darkwave chanteuse Metal Mother , the dreamy, ethereal voices of Pitchfork favorites Sister Crayon, Yaarrohs and Aja Volkman of L.A./Vegas rockers Nico Vega.

Despite its fresh approach, Love Death Immortality remains pure Glitch Mob in its essence, made clear from the album’s first single,“Can’t Kill Us” – which combines loping, 75 bpm breakbeat crunch and a speaker-shredding bass throb with rock swagger. The Glitch Mob embrace new rhythms and tempos on tracks like “Skullclub”with its pulsing sidechained synths and vocoders and “Carry The Sun,” that experiments with 4/4 cadences; meanwhile, “I Need My Memory Back” and “Fly By Night Only” incorporate fully mirror-balled disco funk.

In an era of disposable dance-music singles, Love Death Immortalitywas refreshingly created with the intent to flow as an album – one designed to be listened to from start to finish, taking the listener on an aural voyage in the process.

“If our last album was introverted, then the new one is definitely extroverted,” Justin Boreta says of Love Death Immortality, which explains why the band is itching to take the album to its natural home on the stage, in all its crowd-pleasing glory. This March The Glitch Mob kick off their biggest tour yet, accompanied by massive production from Martin Phillips of Bionic League – who’s developed staggering concert visuals for the likes of Daft Punk, Kanye West, and Deadmau5 - hitting Portland, New Orleans, Boston, Austin, Seattle, San Francisco, Denver and more. The band also just announced they will be performing in top billing slots Ultra Music Festival in Miami and Governor's Ball Music Festival in New York, plus their 2nd year at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival 2014 for the Palm Springs fest's most talked-about lineup yet. Following Coachella the band will head overseas in May for a European tour spanning Vienna, Zurich, Berlin, Paris, London, where their concert just got moved to The Forum (Kiss, The Prodigy and Rihanna are among the legends who have graced the stage) due to the band’s popular demand.

"Love Death Immortality offers sonically complex beatscapes with a heavy dose of aggression, reflecting the group's influences of Portishead, Nine Inch Nails and Tool, but still wholly its own.”

- Billboard

"Snarling energy...rock & roll's revival."

- Do Androids Dance

“It’s apocalyptic, laser etched electronics with style and BASS.”

- Dazed Magazine

"Notoriously detail-attentive, hearing fresh Glitch Mob reminds just how much they can pack into their productions while keeping each sonic element unadulterated and focused--tack-sharp engineering, right here."

- LessThan3

"With their sophomore LP Love Death Immortality, out today, the group is once again going for the grandiose.... Although the music they make is massive and really fucking loud - especially during their live sets - there is a thoughtfulness to their sound that distinguishes it from being simply mindless party bangers, although they're quick to point out that they're cool with party bangers too."

- LA Weekly

“The Glitch Mob have returned with full force.”

- The Music Ninja

"Exciting...leaving us chomping at the bit for the new album."

- Nest HQ

"This is potent stuff- full speed ahead, blown-out beats; pummelinsynths ranging from "laser gun" to "chainsaw;" and enough builds and drops to give you vertigo."

- Relix Magazine

"You get that classic feeling of driving off into the sunset whenever you press play."

- The Untz
