CHANCE WATERS teams up with Townsville songstress Kate Martin for his fourth single from the highly acclaimed album Infinity.
“Conjure Up A Fire is a song about dissatisfaction and rebellion, the anarchist metaphor is meant to be a kind of tongue in cheek look at where debate and subversion intersect to create actual social change. “
The song is produced by One Above (Young & Dumb/Maybe Tomorrow/Hilltop Hoods - I Love It ft. Sia/Illy Heard It All) .The singer Kate Martin is a previous Unearthed Featured artist. Chance found her through Unearthed and she flew to Sydney where they wrote the chorus together in his lounge room over a pot of tea and recorded it the same day.
“It was sort of intended to blend folk music, themes and instruments across a hip hop backbone, we recorded an antique mandolin in my garage for extra rhythm and melody sections.â€
CHANCE WATERS made his ARIA debut in October 2012 when the third single lifted from Infinity, ‘Young & Dumb’ (feat. Bertie Blackman) reached #91 on the ARIA Singles Chart.
