Australian singing sensation Marlisa is releasing her latest original single on Ostereo, ‘You Lift Me Up’, a powerful and uplifting ballad built on a foundation of devotion and faith. The song, produced by Sean Carey and Beau Golden, is the X-Factor winner’s most heartfelt release to date.

Lyrically, ‘You Lift Me Up’ sees Marlisa laying bare her relationship with her Christian faith. Entering the public eye at a young age came with challenges, and the song reflects Marlisa’s reliance on the steady presence of her faith throughout life’s tumult. Gentle pads and synths introduce Marlisa’s warm and powerful alto vocals, eventually giving way to electric guitars and pulsating percussion—creating a chorus that is both emotive and effortlessly listenable.

Marlisa says: “I’m so pleased to be sharing ‘You Lift Me Up’ with my fans. Many people will already be aware of my faith and the special place it holds in my life, but I felt like now was the time to honour that with my art, and place it at the front and centre of my music. The pressures of life can be immense, and I felt that acutely when I won the X-Factor at just 14 years old. My faith has helped me to remain grounded throughout that period. For me, faith is something personal and beautiful, it helps me, and I hope others can find solace in the message of the song, whatever their beliefs.”
