Releasing her first song at the age of 15, Georgia’s debut hit track “Circles” first broke out when it garnered the attention of Triple J - winning Triple J’s annual “Unearthed High” competition - taking top place from over 1500 high school aged entrants - one of the biggest accolades you can get as a teenage musician in Australia. Cementing George straight off the bat as one of Australia’s newest darlings.

Since Unearthed High, “Circles” has climbed to #1 on Australia’s viral charts for over a week, holding its place in the top three on the viral charts for over a month in Australia, New Zealand and Ireland, hit #31 in the WORLD on Spotify’s GLOBAL discovery chart and sat at #2 of Triple J’s most played, winning her the cover of Spotify’s ‘Front Left’ playlist.

Growing up in the country and folk worlds, George cut her teeth into busking at the age of ten, learning how to play guitar and piano from the age of three, while simultaneously teaching herself to write songs watching war movies, starting her songwriting at 11. She found a knack for scripting heartfelt storylines and lyrics about death and heartache and losing loved ones at war, which since, has only progressed to George wanting to write music more ‘relatable’ to people her age - coming “Circles”, a story that is written to be interpreted in whatever way the listener can relate. This is a common theme through a lot of her music, open ended meanings “so people can make my stories their own stories."

“Circles was I think the first or second song I’d ever recorded. The vocal take you hear on the song was the first vocal take, Maribelle who produced the record had never produced before… it was written and finished in a day… one of those serendipitous moments where everything came naturally and felt so right for my first release.”

In the month since Unearthed High, Georgia has been likened to Maggie Rogers, Lorde and Taylor Swift, been flown across the world, hitting the USA and UK, signed with Tom Windish (Billie Eilish + Lorde’s agent), WME (Ruel), garnered the attention of some of the world’s biggest artists and executives. With the addition of festival slots coming up around Australia, some big to-be-announced support tours, and international tour plans already in the works, the next twelve months is looking like a whirlwind for the 16 year old.

Now with a globally recognised song to kick start her undeniably MASSIVE career, a next release and a treasure chest of music under her belt, the future is looking nothing but bright for this young superstar, and the world is watching.Â
