After forming a year ago, Perth indie - rock newcomers “Death By Denim” have burst onto the scene with their high energy live shows that ignite the audience whilst drawing them in with honest and anecdotal storytelling.

The “casually handsome” 4 piece group of Pallé, Nik, George and Hamish present a versatile sound, influenced by the likes of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arctic Monkeys, Sticky Fingers, and The Beach Boys. Their popular style has already seen them rise to a festival stage (Southbound Music Festival 2016) and earn supporting roles with upcoming Perth icons Morgan Bain and Teischa.

“Ocean Lines” is the elevating lead single off Death By Denim’s debut EP – Suburban Royalty, produced by Andy Lawson (Eskimo Joe, Gyroscope, Tired Lion). The slow-burning song showcases a memorable and distinctive combination of guitar and vocal melodies. It focuses on the inevitability of change during an adolescent’s formative years and the all-encompassing need to ‘grow up’ that can become unescapable. Lead singer Nikolas Iliadis evokes a vulnerable yet warm telling of this story with his sincere voice.

The song begins gently yet builds into an uplifting climax that brings home the moral of its narrative, demonstrating the band’s uncanny ability to deliver raw and powerful emotion.
