Building on the momentum of Whiskey Talkin’, Piper Rodrigues continues to carve out her lane in country music with her newest single, You’ll Never Hear From Me, marking the next chapter in her evolving sound. Recorded in Nashville with producer Michael Flanders and co-written alongside Jack Hudson and Lynn Stanfield-Wilbanks, the track blends sharp storytelling with the quiet confidence that has quickly become a signature of Rodrigues’ songwriting.
“Growing up, I loved songs like Gunpowder & Lead and Silver Springs. Those songs taught me about the catharsis that can come through songwriting,” says Rodrigues. “Around the time I wrote this song, I kept seeing quotes about how when someone’s role in your life is truly done, you’ll never see or hear from them again. I started thinking about how that idea can feel one-sided. People can know and hear about you all they want, but when it’s all said and done, that’s all they have — only what they know from a distance while you continue moving forward despite negative experiences. To me, You’ll Never Hear From Me is about reclaiming that power.”
Rather than dwelling on heartbreak, You’ll Never Hear From Me leans into defiance, resilience, and self-possession, reinforcing Rodrigues as an artist unafraid to turn difficult experiences into compelling storytelling.
“You think you’ll never hear from me? You will.”
