Piper Butcher is back with her brand- new single “Read Between the Lines”. With a jam-packed start to her 2022, Piper has evolved into an assured artist with distinct sound and individuality. This song swirls with a modern alternative indie-rock vibe, whilst giving a nod to the Country/Americana feels from her previous releases.
Produced by ARIA/Golden Guitar winner Matt Fell at The Grove Studios, it showcases Piper’s passionate story telling with swooning bass lines, a strong chorus, and drums that pack a punch. “Read Between the Lines” is evidently the most vulnerable Piper has been with her music, and it is proven with both live and in-studio performances.
After performing at Dashville Skyline in February with her band and debuting the song, Piper travelled to the ‘Butchers Brew Bar’ in Sydney for a show supported by Great Southern Nights. Now, Piper has set out on her “Read Between the Lines” tour, which entails her own headline full band show at Lizotte’s, Newcastle - following on from her very own Tamworth Country Music Festival show in April.
After some songwriting and collaborating, she is back on the road to open for Robben Ford (USA), Mia Dyson and several other stellar musicians. With many more shows afterward, and some yet to be announced, Piper Butcher is one to look out for this year.
