Canadian Platinum-selling country artist, Dan Davidson, is no stranger to our shores with multiple trips ‘down under’. In August, Dan returns as the first ever International Ambassador for the Gympie Music Muster; performing across the festival weekend. To celebrate his forthcoming trip, Dan releases his infectious new single, Buckle Rubbin’

Dan Davidson turns up the charm with his cheeky new single Buckle Rubbin’ - a playful country love song that’s as clever as it is catchy. Packed with personality, this fiddle-and-steel-driven track captures the thrill of making a move on the dance floor, closing the distance and testing the sparks – one sway at a time. This song is a steamy, romantic anthem for anyone who’s ever let that last call music lead them closer…and closer…until those belt buckles start rubbin’.

As Dan, describes it, ““I wrote Buckle Rubbin’ with my friends Emma Lee and David Borys. Funny enough, we were working on a completely different song when something a friend once said suddenly popped into my head. The phrase “buckle rubbing” just hit me - and I knew that was the song we were supposed to be writing. As soon as I said it out loud, everyone lit up and we instantly shifted gears. The result is a fun, cheeky country song about mustering up the nerve to get as close as possible on the dance floor with that someone you’ve been shamelessly eyeing all night.”

Dan recently also became a co-founder (alongside The Road Hammers) in the new music label, Skysong Records. Distributed by the Orchard globally and partnering with ABC Music in Australia.
