Lainey Wilson has been honoured with the Artist-Songwriter of the Year award at the 60th Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, marking her first win in this category. The award was presented backstage at her concert by Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert, adding a personal touch to this significant achievement!
Wilson's recognition in this category underscores her dual talent as both a performer and a songwriter. Her song "4x4xU," which she co-wrote with Jon Decious and Aaron Raitiere, received nominations for both Song of the Year and Visual Media of the Year, highlighting her songwriting prowess.
In addition to this accolade, Wilson was nominated for a total of seven awards at this year's ACMs, including Entertainer of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, and Album of the Year for her project "Whirlwind."
The 2025 ACM Awards are streaming live today, Friday, May 9, from 9:00 AM AEST on Prime Video. The ceremony, hosted by Reba McEntire, features performances from top country artists, including Wilson herself.
Congratulations to Lainey Wilson and her team on this well-deserved recognition!
