ABC Music is excited to announce the signing of Australian born/Nashville based, Seaforth, to their country music roster. Seaforth, formerly the duo of Mitch Thompson and Tom Jordan, have had global success with streams in excess of 500 million. Moving into the next chapter, Seaforth’s Mitch Thompson will be the driving creative force.
As Mitch confirms, “I’m so pumped to be working with ABC Music Australia. It’s always been a goal of mine to release music back home and really build my story there. Australia is where I grew up, and there’s no place like it—so getting to properly show up and give it the love and dedication it deserves, especially with such a great team behind me, means the world. This is the start of a new chapter after some big changes, and I couldn’t be more excited.”
As Natalie Waller (Head of ABC Music) reiterates, “With global success and accolades, ABC Music are thrilled to be a part of the next stage in Seaforth’s career in their home market”
To coincide with the new label in Australia, Seaforth release a new single, Her and My Hometown. Produced and co-written by Mitch, the song is deeply personal to his journey from his hometown to the life he now has in Nashville. As Mitch describes it, “Her and My Hometown is the first single in a brand new chapter I’m so excited to start. I’ve been living in the US for eight years now, but I grew up in Australia—and I’m getting married this year. This song is about how both home and meeting my future wife have shaped the man I am today. It’s also the first song I’ve self-produced, which makes it even more special.”
